Imagine Al Green Singing You a Lullaby! Charleston-Area Hotels Offer ChazzFest Packages

Inaugural ChazzFest being welcomed by local hoteliers offering stay/play packages for out of towners. ChazzFest to feature Al Green, Drive By Truckers, Dumpstaphunk and others in Charlston, SC on September 16.

Charleston, SC (PRWEB) August 24, 2006 -- Music fans will sing the praises of two new packages designed to help Road Trippers get the most out of their ChazzFest experience.

The Comfort Suites in North Charleston, just minutes from the festival grounds at the Family Circle Tennis Center stadium that will host the festival, is offering a special rate of $149 per night (plus tax). Road Trippers will stay two or more days, receiving two tickets to ChazzFest (reserved stadium seating), and breakfast on Saturday and Sunday. Guests also take part in the complimentary Happy Hour on Friday, from 5:30 to 7:30. To book a package, phone 843-725-5400.

The nearby Wingate Inn in North Charleston offers a similar package at $159 per night (plus tax). With a two-night minimum, guests will receive two tickets to ChazzFest, breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, complimentary Happy Hour on Friday from 5:30 to 7:30, and a free shuttle to and from the airport. ChazzFest will take place on September 16 at the Family Circle Tennis Center on Daniel Island. Headliner Al Green caps a day of performances by renowned artists like Buddy Guy, Sam Bush, Ivan Neville’s Dumpstaphunk, The Drifters, and others. The event will also feature foods of the region, an Artisans’ Wharf and a children’s play area, allowing the entire family to experience the rich musical, food and arts tradition of South Carolina. Tickets are available online at www.etix.com, at the Family Circle Tennis Center Box Office, Charleston area Cat’s Music/Monster Music & Movies and by calling 800-514-ETIX.

Admission is $35 for adults ($45 day of), $5 for children aged 6 to 12 ($10 day of), children under 6 free and $25 advance for students ($35 day of). A limited number of reserved lower level tickets in the Stadium are also available for $75 in advance and $100 day of.

A portion of the festival’s proceeds will be donated to three charities; VH-1’s Save the Music, the International African American Museum in Charleston, and the American College of the Building Arts.
