Aspen Colorado Based Post Time Media Launches News Blog and Website Portals for Information, Events, Activities and More

Post Time Media, Inc. announces the successful launch of two new information portal blog websites www.aspenpost.net and www.skiingpost.net. Leveraging new technology, pioneering blogvertorials, and scalable content distribution, PTMI will be able to extend new portals to local markets.

Aspen, CO (PRWEB) August 28, 2006 -- Post Time Media Inc. (PTMI), a local news and lifestyle blogging company based in Aspen, is experiencing undeniable success and meteoric growth in the Aspen market prior to a rollout with national implications.

“The Company’s mission is to create a nationally branded local Post portal that has shed all historical print baggage to the betterment of its bloggers, advertisers, and readers,” said PTMI Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Michael Conniff. “By branding a low-cost producer that is the best in the business of blogging, Post Time Media will create a meaningful and defensible national Post portal brand in local markets.”

but this is just the beginning. We expect our organic search strategy to improve our numbers by an order of magnitude within twelve months.
The company plans to capitalize on the popularity of blogs—there are more than 51 million blogs in existence, according to Technorati—by focusing on an unexploited niche in local markets. Post Time Media has acquired an undisclosed number of Post domains and has an ongoing domain purchase plan in effect. The company’s domains include most major cities, “best of” lists, and communities experiencing exponential growth.

“It’s pretty simple,” Conniff said. “Social media is all about making connections and creating communities. Our Post properties are completely unedited and unfiltered, and that means the voice of the individual can be heard at a time when newspapers and traditional media are becoming increasingly irrelevant. That has made for an explosion of interest in Aspen and the Roaring Fork Valley about what we’re doing.”

The flagship Aspen Post has been an early success, logging over 160,000 page views and nearly 700,000 hits since launching in March, all by word of mouth. Aspen Post currently has twenty-four active bloggers, with scores more anticipated in the near-term. Post Time Media, Inc. recently launched a second Web site, Skiing Post, and plans to launch a third, Snowmass Post, in the coming weeks to establish the branded blogging model within the valley.

“We are extremely happy with the extent and enthusiasm of our readership,” said PTMI Executive Vice President Keith Hemstreet, “but this is just the beginning. We expect our organic search strategy to improve our numbers by an order of magnitude within twelve months.”

The company’s Web platform, developed in a partnership with Project West, based in Denver and Aspen, has worked seamlessly.

“We now have a tremendously powerful content distribution platform that can be replicated at minimal cost,” said PTMI’s Conniff. “This allows us to roll out additional, fully functioning, branded sites within a matter of a few days.”

Post Time Media’s revenue model includes traditional online marketing such as banner advertisements, but the company is also pioneering “blogvertorials” as a way to monetize blogs in the local marketplace. For a modest monthly fee, companies are already blogging about their businesses, thereby opening a direct line of communication between companies and customers.

Two particularly innovative blogs are the Zele Community Table and Aspen Sports Channel. Zele Café in downtown Aspen has brought together citizens and visitors with local personalities in community blogging meant to simulate the Zele coffee shop experience; while Aspen Sport is planning to blog about their intensive product evaluation process in a direct connection with consumers.

“I think it’s been a great opportunity, and I love the fact that we meet there at Zele,” said Zele Café director of marketing and sales Lisa Zimet. “It symbolically is the epicenter of Aspen, where a lot of good conversation and spontaneous exchange comes out that we would not normally have. It’s all shared in our venue—which I’m very happy about. It really is kind of a neat thing. We learn things about people we think we know on a personal level which we otherwise would not have learned. Whether is a politician or a student or a postal worker, it’s a nice window into people who live here.”
