“I have been in the industry for over a decade and have worked internationally. So often I find products that make empty promises and leave the consumer frustrated, unprotected and simply at a loss as to what to do next and whom to trust. HotBrick products have proven time again to meet not only my meticulous demands but those of my clients.”
– Mike Peters – Managing Director, Software Projects International
The Facts:
The HSS 4000 features 512 MB RAM and a 1.0 GHz Pentium 4 processor while the HSS 6000 features 1 GB of RAM and a 2.8 GHz Pentium 4 processor.
“These features simply blow our competition out of the water!”
–Heiko Stuven, President and CEO – HotBrick Network Solutions
The HSS 4000 offers four flex ports while the HSS 6000 offers six. Flex ports can be used for LAN or WAN connections configurable as needed. Additional hardware assets include internal hard drives and an optional hardware-based VPN accelerator (flexible software-based VPNs are standard). Both products provide the desirable hardware failover (CARP) feature.
The HSS 4000 supports up to 1,000 LAN users while the HSS 6000 allows for an unlimited number of LAN users. Both products support CIDR-based Class A, B, and C networks.
Easy to install, the HSS 4000 and HSS 6000 are also simple to configure and manageable directly from the user-friendly and secure web GUI (HTTPS), console port and SSH secure connection. The content-filtering, Spam-filtering, and antivirus options can also be managed directly from the interface itself – where they should be. The content-filtering feature is web-based while the Spam-filtering and Antivirus reside on the unit’s hard drive.
Both products support QoS with bandwidth management and Voice over IP (VOIP).
The HSS 4000 is the right choice for medium-sized and enterprise environments that want total control and easy, problem-free management over their LANs with the HSS 6000 being the only choice for a true enterprise-level solution boasting a more powerful processor and unbeatable price.
