Hexamail Adds Sender Policy Framework and Domain Keys Features

Hexamail Guard offers server-based spam blocking which allows effective server spam filtering. Now the newly released version 2.8 version adds two new sender verification technologes: Sender Policy Framework (SPF) and Domain Keys.

UK (PRWEB) September 2, 2006 -- Hexamail, the leading software company specializing in intelligent email routing, management, archiving and security, announced today that it has released a new version of its Hexamail Guard antispam solution with Sender Policy Framework and Domain Keys support.

Sender Policy Framework
SPF fights sender address forgery and makes it easier to identify spoofed email.
Domain owners identify their legitimate sending mail servers in DNS and Hexamail verifies SPF records and so autoamtically distinguishes authentic messages from forgeries even before any message data is transmitted. This is particularly useful for preventing phishing attacks and other identity theft or privacy incursions.

Domain Keys
The Domain Keys technology provides a mechanism for verifying that the stated sender of an email is indeed the sender. This technology uses cryptographic signatures to effectively sign the email from the original sending domain. If the email is tampered with or forged the Domain Keys technology allows this to be easily spotted and the email rejected, or flagged as suspicious. This is extremely useful in combatting phishing attacks, spoofed spam email and other malicious attacks that hijack others identity.

Hexamail Guard now incorporates both of these exciting new technologies into its comprehensive armoury of anti-spam, phishing and virus technologies. With Hexamail's email security gateway you can add SPF and Domain Keys support to any existing email system or mailserver including Microsoft Exchange. Hexamail's email gateway security product now represents the most comprehensive system of counter measures available to combat all email threats. These new sender verification and anti forgery technologies ensure that the total protection offered by Hexamail is maintained as adoption of the technologies spreads.
