MEAC 2007 Basketball Tournament Ticket Books Go On Sale Tomorrow

Ticket books for the 2007 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Basketball Tournament will go on sale tomorrow.

Raleigh, NC (PRWEB) September 2, 2006 -- Ticket books for the 2007 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Basketball Tournament will go on sale tomorrow.

“Everyone should come out,” said MEAC Commissioner Dr. Dennis Thomas. “Our first tournament in Raleigh last year was a huge success, and we plan on this one being an even bigger one.”

Prices for the books remain unchanged from 2006, with adults paying $100 per book, while children, students and senior citizens books cost just $50.

Each book provides one ticket for each session of the tournament, with men’s and women’s games being played over five days. The first game tips off on Tuesday, March 6, and the championship games are played on Saturday, March 10.

Last year’s event, the first in Raleigh, was a success, with attendance growing 50% over the prior year’s tournament. More than 22,500 people attended the tournament games, with additional attendance at related events such as the Tom Joyner Sky Show, High School Day, Comedy Show, Fashion Show and much more.

Ticket books go on sale tomorrow at www.meachoops.com, the official website of the 2007 Basketball Tournament. Tickets will also be available through Ticketmaster outlets nationwide, at all MEAC Schools Box Offices, or at the RBC Center box office. Sales of individual game tickets will not begin until February 26, 2007.
