PDMA Forms San Diego Venue to Reflect Growth in Local Industry and Product Management Talent

PDMA has formed a San Diego Venue to focus on education and training issues related to new product development for San Diego companies. The board is comprised of leading San Diego companies, such as Websense, and headed by Robert Hale, President of Robert Hale and Associates.

San Diego, CA (PRWEB) September 8, 2006 -- Today, the Product Development and Management Association (PDMA) announced the formation of a San Diego venue, reflecting the growing importance of the city as a science and technology hub. The new chapter extends the PDMA’s reach in providing professional development, peer networking, and thought leadership for product development professionals. The focus of the PDMA in San Diego will be on front end activities that support new product development, such as product innovation, incorporating the voice of the customer, and related tools and processes.

“San Diego now offers a wealth of talented product management expertise that was unheard of ten years ago,” said Robert Hale, San Diego PDMA President. As President of Robert Hale and Associates, which has provided market research and strategic consulting services to many local companies, Mr. Hale has seen firsthand how active professional associations for networking and learning help create a vibrant business culture.

According to the Southern California PDMA President, Steve Treibel, “San Diego deserves its own chapter, and we have already assembled a great cast of board members, true experts in their fields.”

The chapter will initially gather every other month with each meeting featuring a keynote speaker and a networking session. The first session will be held in late September.

The board members of the San Diego venue represent such organizations as Websense and Sun Systems. Board members include Michele Shannon, Foz Saeed, Kevin McGourty, Viviana Amzel, Dmitri Khijnaik, and Robert Hale.
