Integrating Spirituality and Right View into Daily Life
During these difficult times, more and more Americans are in search of the spiritual, seeking to find meaning and balance in their lives. For those seeking enlightenment through meditation and prayer, seeking communion with the Divine, inspiration comes in many forms and practices and beliefs. Donald and Cheryl Lynne Rubbo, co-founders of PDP II Research Foundation Healing and Meditation Center, are teaching their students and clients how to find inner peace and work towards a better world for all beings, through meditation practices and by developing the virtues of love, joy, equanimity and the eternal flame of wisdom and compassion.
(PRWEB) September 9, 2006 -- During these difficult times, more and more Americans are in search of the spiritual, seeking to find meaning and balance in their lives.
The Rubbos do this through the vehicles of Taoism, such as Tai Chi and Qigong, and Vajrayana Buddhist meditation practices. Their students and clients have embraced this work with enthusiasm and delight.
Donald and Cheryl Lynne Rubbo, Vajrayana Buddhist practitioners under the guidance of the Venerable Lama Lodu Rinpoche, teach not just the forms and internals for Tai Chi Ch’uan and Qigong. The work they have been doing is transformative, embodying the concepts and principles of right conduct.
Most of the students who are studying with the Rubbos, at the PDP II Healing and Meditation Center, have reached the intermediate or advanced level, and the work that they are engaged in is very profound, intentionally integrating spirituality and right conduct into daily life with every thought, word and deed, for the benefit of all.
The timeless principles (paramitas) of right conduct taught at PDP II are:
- Generosity
- Morality
- Patience
- Diligence
- Concentration
- Wisdom
By regularly attending the classes, workshops and retreats offered by the Foundation, the students and clients have deepened their practice, and have made a commitment to themselves and to the work; for their benefit as well as for the benefit of their classmates, their friends and family, and for all sentient beings.
PDP II Research Foundation changes lives, and gives hope to people who felt they had none. We help change not just people’s health, and their perspective of healing, we also instill courage to face life’s challenges (see Transformations, below).
We here at PDP II have witnessed many transformative miracles, and we are grateful for the opportunity to be part of these healings.
PDP II accepts new students and clients who have the sincere desire to transform themselves and transform the world around them. The ancient Buddhist texts show that the first paramita, generosity, helps to create the all of the other paramitas. And the more one practices the paramitas, the more they become a spontaneous manifestation of one’s being.
The fees for the ongoing classes, workshops and retreats, and your donations, help to support this work, as well as our free health programs. For this reason, we encourage all who come to study with us to develop the paramitas, especially generosity, for themselves and for all sentient beings.
PDP II invites people with extraordinary vision, who share our core values of integrity, morality, compassion and selfless dedication to easing the suffering of humanity, to join with us.

TRANSFORMATIONS:
Last year, Josefina, one of our Teacher Graduates, worked with a young woman, a senior in high school, who had been gang-raped by jocks at her school. Josefina, with guidance from Donald, helped this young woman find the strength and fortitude to testify against her attackers, despite threats from parents and other students.
Melissa, 17, was near suicidal as she was recovering in the hospital from an automobile accident that severed her left arm. At the request of a family friend, we began working with her at her hospital bedside. After reading the article she wrote in our local paper, we were touched to see that her life is returning to normal, and feel blessed to have been part of the healing process.
Neil F., 52, who has been attending the free Friday Wellness Class, has suffered from untreatable Chronic Fatigue Syndrom for 25 years. Today, after one year of attending the Wellness Class, and practicing the Qigong exercises daily at home, Neil is full of joy, energy and hope, and is returning to health.
Michael M., 50, who has suffered from anger and rage all his life, was recently the victim of a violent road rage incident. Even after he was struck in the mouth by the enraged driver, he did not retaliate, and has forgiven his attacker.
When Rita, an acupuncturist, came to us nine years ago, she was recovering from a stroke she suffered while on a spiritual pilgrimage in India. She was determined to regain full function of her body and her speech. We gave her the tools to rebuild he life, one step a time. Rita now has a thriving Acutonics© practice, and a few months ago, Rita was learning how to skip again.
Elizabeth, a talented gymnast, developed Lyme’s disease but was misdiagnosed for years. In constant pain, and beset by frequent seizures, she became housebound and her world shrank to the confines of her apartment. She never gave up her hope of healing. We gave her the tools to rebuild her life, one step at a time. Today Elizabeth is a graduate of our Teacher Training program; a vital, contributing member of society teaching others how to overcome their own health challenges.
When Philip, a retired holistic dentist, came to us, he was recovering from prostate cancer, and other health problems. He was determined to regain full health and the courage to face life’s battles. We didn’t view Philip as past his prime, we saw a warrior struggling to emerge. We gave him the tools to rebuild his life, one step at a time. Philip recently came out on top in a contentious business situation.
