Vidanti Unveils Additions to High Definition TV over IPTV Solutions at IBC 2006

Vidanti Ltd., a pioneering leader in software for High Definition TV over IP (HD-over-IP) devices, announced at IBC 2006 that it is offering Hybrid IP STB combinations, expanding its BBTV4000 product line.

The BBTV4000 core product provides MPEG-4 AVC / H.264 High Profile support enabling broadcast quality HD-over-IP. It utilizes a single 250MHz ARM920 host processor for running Vidanti’s BBTVsoft™ -- a performance optimized, highly integrated IPTV software suite that augments H.264 with support for Digital Video Recorder (DVR); integrated Voice-over-IP support using MGCP or SIP; Web Browsing; a highly-tuned TCP/IP (IPv4, IPv6) stack with advanced bridging and routing capabilities, and easy-to-use configuration, activation and remote management features conforming to UPnP and DSL Forum (TR-069) standards.

In today’s announcement, Vidanti has adapted the multiple Transport Stream processor capability of the BBTV 4000 core design to enable Hybrid IP STB solutions:

• BBTV4000/T provides a hybrid IP/DVB-T (Terrestrial) platform compliant with ETSI EN 300 744

• BBTV4000/S provides a hybrid IP/DVB-S2 (Satellite) platform with LNB in/out connectors compliant with IEC 179-24
• BBTV4000/C provides a hybrid IP/DVB-C (Cable) platform with front end in/out connectors compliant with IEC 179-24
