Scientifically Proven Detoxification for Toxic Exposure and Pollution

Detoxification proves effective in lowering if not eliminating adverse health effects due to toxic exposures and environmental pollution

Santa Monica, CA (PRWEB) September 10, 2006 -- Groundbreaking detoxification protocol saved firemen's lives who were involved in the clean up after the events of September 11th in New York City. The New York Rescue Workers Detoxification Project (www.nydetox.org) evaluated 286 firemen and rescue workers in 2004 who were treated with intensive sauna treatments, exercise and nutraceuticals. On average the treatment reduced pollutant levels 65% and improved neurological, muscle and lung symptoms completely in three out of four cases. .

"The detoxification protocol is effective because it greatly increases the movement of long life chemicals from the body by increasing all aspects of the body's natural detoxification mechanisms and metabolism. Foreign chemicals interfere with the normal function of the immune, hormone and nervous system, the detox restores the natural balance of these systems by eliminating fat-soluble chemicals from the body," according to Dr. James Dahlgren, world renowned toxicologist and internist.

Recent media coverage and the documentary 9/11: A Toxic Legacy airing on the Discover channel this month indicates New Yorkers continue to experience adverse health effects from toxins released into the environment by the collapse of the World Trade Center even five years later. To address these ongoing health concerns Dr. Dahlgren's created BWell Clinic, a wellness center in Santa Monica, CA. He has treated thousands of patients exposed to toxins at work, in their home or by the food they eat and found tremendous results with detoxification. Since 2004, Dr. Dahlgren has expanded on the protocol used with the New York City firemen to include one-on-one customization, pioneering detoxification protocols with naturopathic medicine, acupuncture, IV treatments, massage, and movement therapy.

Dr. Hollis, Director of Naturopathic Medicine for the clinic believes: “clinical detoxification and anti-aging medicine is relevant, especially in view of escalating incidents of autism, birth defects, breast cancer and prostate cancer. The association between age-related diseases, hormone disruption and exposure to environmental toxicity suggests the need for intervention.”

Dr. Dahlgren has treated numerous patients suffering from functional disorders such as fibromylagia, chronic fatigue, mold poisoning, and auto-immune conditions such as asthma through BWell Clinic. One local fireman treated in the clinic improved lung function by 50% in some areas. After treatment, patients experience improved energy, mood, immunity, skin, lung, and brain function among others. Some improve in every area and others in a few but all patients experience some health benefit from the detoxification program.
