RacingJunk.com Teams Up With NASCAR’S Dale Quarterly
Raceway Media announced today that it’s teaming up with NASCAR Busch North Series driver Dale Quarterly. The company has entered into a multi-year sponsorship with the veteran racer, who will serve as an ambassador for the company’s website RacingJunk.com, the world’s largest online racing classifieds.
North Adams, MA (PRWEB) September 14, 2006 -- This is the second time Raceway Media has entered into a sponsorship to raise awareness in the NASCAR community. In 2004, the company partnered with SCORE Motorsports as the primary sponsor of its No. 02 NEXTEL Cup Series entry driven by Carl Long at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The sponsorship was successful in attracting some attention to the site, but was a one-race deal. Executives hope that this long-term agreement will be even more effective.
"They're trying to expand into the NASCAR realm of the market," Quarterly said in a recent interview. "They're 90% drag race stuff, but they're huge, so they're trying to work over into NASCAR. They're tailor-made for what we do.”
The Westfield, Mass driver's professional racing career started off in AMA Superbikes, where he was the top-ranked privateer from 1992-1995, and is the last privateer to ever win an AMA Superbike race. He successfully made the transition from racing bikes to driving stock cars, and now owns and operates a lucrative NASCAR Busch Grand National North Team. In the past 3 seasons, Quarterly has an average finish in year-end points standings of 5.3, with a career high of 3rd in the 2004 season and is part of an elite group of only 7 drivers to win on a road course, a short track and a speedway.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with Dale,” said Ryan Maturski, co-owner of Raceway Media, who has known Quarterly since 2001 when the driver lent him a hand by towing Maturski’s damaged car back from Watkins Glen International Raceway. “He is a talented driver and an all-around great guy. We are proud to sponsor him and will be routing him on.”
Quarterly, who is also sponsored by Northeast Mortgage (www.racingtonortheast.com), has three more Busch East races on his schedule: New Hampshire International Speedway when the series returns in September, Dover International Speedway the week after, and Lime Rock Park where the series closes out its season.
