His homepage features 100 links ordered by price from highest to lowest. When an advertiser purchases a spot on the page, all links with lower prices fall down one spot, and the lowest priced link falls off the page.
Rowe and his advertisers have already seen some success with his site.
“One site bought a link for $4 and made $78 in sales from their link. Another advertiser bought a $20 link and turned a profit of $384, so it's not just about supporting my Olympic aspirations, but a link on my page has a lot of advertising value,” said Rowe. Rowe’s site has already sold 259 links for $1,158, which he believes is just the beginning of his million dollar idea.
“I’ve always believed in myself and that’s why I’ve always had big goals. I think people and companies alike can identify with large challenges like the ones I’ve put out for myself, and that’s why they’ll be interested in my page,” said Rowe.
When Brandon isn’t working on his site, he is training. He runs 90+ miles a week in order to prepare himself to race any distance from three to six miles.
