Ballroom for Schools, LLC Featuring Delgado Dance Studio, has been Approved to Begin the First After-School Ballroom Dance Program in Las Vegas, NV.

Las Vegas, Nevada (PRWEB) September 21, 2006 -- On September 27, 2006, the first Clark County School District After-School Ballroom Dance Program will begin. Tony & Dana Delgado, Champion Ballroom Dancers & Teachers at Delgado Dance Studio will be teaching the kids at Matt Kelly Elementary School the basics of Latin & Ballroom dance.

Our first school, Matt Kelly ES, was sponsored by UNLV Chancellor Jim Rogers. This gives the opportunity to many kids who cannot afford to pay for lessons the chance to get Top Quality instruction. There will be celebrities from various popular dance shows also coming out to visit with the kids and show them what can be achieved through dance.Tony & Dana have taught some of today's ballroom stars, such as Cheryl Burke, last years winner of ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" , they are currently coaching Willa Ford and Maxim from this season's show.

The after-school program is a labor of love, not profit. The program will not only teach the kids to dance, but they will also be tested on such things as origination of dance, timing, etc. They will be taught basic steps from cha-cha, to swing, to quick-step, etc. Tony & Dana understand that all kids may not be academic, but great dancers & entertainers and they want to give those kids the chance to build a great self-esteem.

Also, with the increase of high cholesterol and obesity in children it is a positive way to keep in shape. The ultimate goal for the program would be to have several of the Clark County schools, compete in a school sponsored competition. The Delgado Dance Studio is located at 4220 S. Grand Canyon, near the 215 beltway & Flamingo Rd. They offer all levels of Ballroom Dance, as well as many other classes, such as Jazz, Yoga, Ballet, Hip-Hop. The Studio is open 6 days a week, and offers social dancing, Friday & Saturday nights.
