The comparison chart reveals vaccine costs for the eight most popular travel injections at six clinics across the country revealing a difference of over £50 on the price of a hepatitis A jab. Prices vary from £10 at a General Practitioner to £68.50 at a London based MediCentre which includes the £10 travel consultation fee.
For example, someone travelling to Sri Lanka is recommended to have hepatitis A, malaria, polio and tetanus which would cost approximately £30 at your local GP compared to £156.50 plus a £10 consultation fee at MediCentre. The same injections at MASTA Clinic (recommended by BA) would cost £108.99. For those travelling to destinations and in need a Yellow Fever certificate the costs vary between £40.00 to £52.50.
For those looking for information on what vaccines are needed for certain destinations then advice does not always come cheap. The Liverpool School of Medicine charge £10 for advice as do Medi-Centres, the cost goes up to £15 at a MASTA Clinic, some of which are refundable if vaccines are purchased. For the cheapest advice then head to a general practitioner or a Trailfinders Clinic.
