Get to Know the Good Life Trends in Portugal with Lifecooler.pt

Good Life in Portugal is quite active and lively. New restaurants, hotels, SPA’s, innovative gourmet products and original destinations are always popping up. See what is happening in Portugal on the “Coolmeter” in Lifecooler.pt

Lisbon (PRWEB) September 29, 2006 -- With so many new things, it is difficult to discover the leisure and tourism trends in Portugal. The Lifecooler team, the largest good life portal in the country, every week identifies the best trends via “Coolmeter”, an instrument that measures the current vogue in the Good Life market.

According to Lifecooler, these are last week’s coolest trends.

1 - Wallpaper: "Either that wallpaper disappears or I will” said Oscar Wilde, before he died in 1900. Well, wallpaper became démodé but after many years it is now back in vogue. So, maybe it’s time to think about revamping your house...

2- Sushi take-away: We all know that sushi is in, but not everyone has the money to pay the freshness of raw fish. The good news is that supermarket chain stores (El Corte Inglés, Pingo Doce) already sell it and with the take-away’s now, prices are much more appealing.

3- MM Café: The ideal place in a city: on the first floor of the revamped Teatro Maria Matos, in Lisbon, there are jam sessions on Sunday nights in addition to other regular shows. Salads, sandwiches, tapas and sushi can be found on the menu. And while you wait to be served why not read the newspaper or a magazine. It’s good to be back...

4- Wine tourism: It’s not only wine that’s in vogue. To get to know the estates where they are cultivated, to participate in wine tasting or even to sleep over (a suggestion of road safety authorities) is a wonderful way of getting to know the country. From one estate to another and from region to region.

5 - Na Curva do Rio (On the river bend):
This very suggestive name is ideal for this mild September. Now that the Algarve is less crowded, seek the tranquillity of this old farm house on the bank of River Arade, between Portimão and Lagos. Book one of the 7 suites and just let yourself get lost right here on the river bend.

Discover these and other trends on www.lifecooler.pt, the largest leisure portal in Portugal.

The Guide to Good Life in Portugal

In addition to a data base featuring over 70 thousand places that can be researched in Portugal – arranged under accommodation, restaurants, bars and discos, nature, patrimony, entertainment, amongst others - Lifecooler has a team of journalists that constantly travels around the country to report in text and through images the best that Portugal has to offer.

From itineraries with suggestions to blissful hotels, from the most refined restaurants to the most typical regional gastronomy houses, Lifecooler is a meeting point between tourist demand and offer with quality.
