Miami Mosaic Artist Takes Her Tiling High Tech
Just one year after kissing the corporate world goodbye, Miami Mosaic Artist Julie Galvin Weilbacher has launched a dynamic new Web site to showcase her inspiring designs.
MIAMI, FL (PRWEB) September 29, 2006 –- Mosaic artist Julie Galvin Weilbacher has been developing her art for nearly ten years. What began as a hobby has blossomed into a full-time career creating uniquely designed pieces, teaching classes and, now, marketing her works on the Web with the recent launch of http://www.mosaic-madness.com.
Most of her commissioned works to date have been largely due to word-of-mouth. Thanks to her new virtual storefront launched on Friday, the Kendall-based artist can reach the global masses with her art form.
“What I like about the new site is that it’s really one-stop shopping for anyone interested in mosaics,” said Julie Galvin Weilbacher, Mosaic Madness Artist/Owner. “Someone interested in taking a class or putting together a mosaic party can find information there. Brides seeking unique wedding favors or bridal party gifts and people looking for truly one-of-a-kind presents can find what they’re looking for as well,” she added.
Weilbacher conducts a variety of classes from individual instruction to group classes for which she supplies all of the materials, tools, base items, adhesives and grout. In fact, she recently conducted a class for two women who each created a mosaic table. Weilbacher said both students had taken her beginner’s class and enjoyed the experience so much that they decided right away to move on to the next level.
Weilbacher is also expanding her high-tech reach with a virtual print shop she operates through Café Press. The artist is electronically targeting the mosaic community at-large with fun designs like an ‘I Break for Mosaics’ bumper sticker and ‘Extraordinary Mosaicist’ items. She produces an annual wall calendar featuring her seasonal pieces, journals, magnets and apparel, as well. Check out her designs at http://www.cafepress.com/mosaicmadness.
