CCCFCA Selects AthletiShare as Exclusive Provider of Video for All California Junior College Football Games
AthletiShare forms partnership with the California Community College Football Coaches Association to be the exclusive provider of game footage to 4-year colleges for recruiting purposes.
Sunnyvale, CA (PRWEB) September 28, 2006 -- Athletishare and the California Community Colleges Football Coaches Association have formed a partnership making AthletiShare the exclusive provider of game video for all competing California Junior College programs for the purposes of recruiting and team scouting, it was announced today.
Through it’s DigitalAthlete service, AthletiShare provides web-managed delivery of digital media, allowing college coaches to junior college and high school game footage in DVD quality, not streaming video, for recruiting in a much more efficient manner than ever before. Instead of days or weeks of waiting for tapes to arrive, college coaches can now access game film in minutes via the Internet. The service is free for high schools and junior colleges to use.
With a three-year agreement, AthletiShare will distribute California JC football film exclusively through the 2008 season.
“We’re really excited about our partnership with the CCCFCA,” AthletiShare CEO Steve Mason said. “Our focus as a company is to create more opportunities for athletes to extend their athletic careers and further their education. With the high level of play and the number of great athletes in the California Junior College system we know our service will benefit the kids and the colleges.”
“This is a great partnership for us because of the exposure it will provide for our kids and our programs,” CCCFCA President and Delta College Head Coach Gary Barlow said. “Technology is certainly having a tremendous impact on sports and what AthletiShare is doing is a great example of that.”
The California Junior College system has 72 schools, more than any other state in the U.S., and boasts some of the top football prospects in the country, including AJ Jackson (College of the Sequoias), Rolando Barragan (El Camino), Patrick Gates (Saddleback), Joe Chatman (Fullerton) and Terence Scott (College of the Canyons) to name a few.
AthletiShare has signed four top 25 programs as subscribers in the last two weeks including #1 Ohio State, Cal, Arizona State and Nebraska.
