Art Exhibit by Free Arts of Arizona's 2006 Foster Care Awareness Campaign, at HC West

The exhibit offers an insight into the lives of our children in the welfare system with original pieces done by foster youth ages 12-18. Pieces shown will include watercolor, acrylics, colored pencil, oils and writings. The exhibit will be on display at HC West Gallery for the month of October 2006. Free Arts of Arizona will also be hosting a portraiture workshop during the First Friday event on October 6 and the porataits will hang in the HC West Gallery kitchen and hall. At the end of the month the portraits will be available for purchase for a small donation to Free Arts of Arizona.

(PRWEB) September 30, 2006 -- HC West Gallery is super excited to showcase "My Voice, My Life, My Future – Mi Voz, Mi Vida, Mi Futuro," an art exhibit created by Free Arts of Arizona's 2006 Foster Care Awareness Campaign (A partnership of Free Arts Arizona and Children Action Alliance).

The exhibit offers an insight into the lives of our children in the welfare system with original pieces done by foster youth ages 12-18. Pieces shown will include watercolor, acrylics, colored pencil, oils and writings.

The exhibit will be on display at HC West Gallery for the month of October 2006. HC West has invited local guitarist Matthew Camp to entertain, as well as many arts vendors to show their wares in front of the gallery.

First Friday will take place October 6, 2006 from 6-10pm. The gallery is located at 1326 W. Roosevelt (just east of Grand Ave.). There is parking next door at Henry's store, just west of us. Please visit www.hcwestgallery.com for more details.
