A new feature of the BFF is the Backseat Film Festival Drinking Game, an ongoing game throughout the festival. At the beginning of each screening, three criteria are selected from a hat out of over 20 possibilities. Each time one of those selected comes up in a particular screening block, viewers are to take a drink. Some of the criteria include; Fake Moustache, Nipples (One drink per nipple), Someone playing a guitar, Onscreen drinking or drug-use, Wigs, Ninja attack, Zombie devouring a person, Someone uses a switchblade, Decapitation and Vomiting amongst others.
Also, we’ll be announcing the Backseat Film Festival 2006 Award Winners at the final after party of the festival (March 5th at Tritone). Awards include Best Feature Film, Best Short, Local Filmmaker Award, Filmmaker Appreciation, as well as Best Breasts, Best Fight Scene, Best Bloodshed and more! Along with a certificate, winners will receive prizes from our sponsors and passes to next year’s festival!
Of course, the Backseat Film Festival would not be what it is without our sponsors. Pabst Blue Ribbon and Sailor Jerry Rum keep us stocked with free booze for festival-goers, and the Gray Kangaroo Personal Liquor Filter takes the impurities out of our cheap vodka (when we run out of beer and rum!). Our newest sponsor, Myspace.com, is helping us to keep in direct contact with festival fans through their brand new Myspace Film section. All our sponsors will be contributing prizes to the winning filmmakers.
Every filmmaker involved with the festival can be made available to do interviews, as well as the Backseat Film Festival programmers. We have screeners of films available upon request as well as press passes to the film festival.

About the Backseat Film Festival (BFF):
Now in its fourth year, The BFF is devoted to the best in edgy, unpretentious movies from all over the cinematic globe. An electrifying mix of zany short films, sleazy music videos, unrelenting documentaries and some of the most exciting feature film premieres around, the BFF is a showcase for movies that embody the youthful, exhilarating spirit of rock ‘n roll. No multicultural-love-stories or heavy-handed political statements here, just a lot of zombies, hot chicks, bad jokes and great music.
The BFF selection process is very thorough to ensure the quality of the selections. First the programmers watch the film sober, then again when they are slightly buzzed, then again when totally smashed. The films that don’t make the cut are then put into a rejected submissions pile, which is then ritualistically and violently destroyed before a live audience at the BFF Opening Ceremonies. Past rejections have been axed, burned, hammered, micro waved and even shot. This year we are considering putting them into a car and driving them off a cliff or into a wall, but you’ll have to come to the Opening Ceremonies to see!
Besides having great films, our only other festival policy is that you must be able to drink booze in any venue the festival is held in, and plenty of it! Thanks to generous sponsors like Pabst Blue Ribbon and Sailor Jerry Rum, we’re able to give free booze out like water! As those who attended past festival events can attest, the programmers of the BFF vow that they will do a shot with anyone who buys a ticket for the festival as they enter the screening, and then some!
We’re coming to destroy your city…with movies!
