Until now, MPMM has been a 'closed shop' regarding the secrets behind its project management methodology software. But today, it has announced a change in approach through the release of its 'Latest News' support site. At this site, users can find out more about how MPMM is constructed, the features which are planned to be released and the vision for the product set.
"This is the first time that we have released such information to the public," says Johanna Barnett, Marketing Director for MPMM and Method123. "Users can now find out more about our plans for MPMM and how we see the product evolving in the future. We have held this information private until now, as it's our competitive advantage. But due to popular customer demand, we have decided to release all of the architectural, marketing and planning information for MPMM, through our website for users to read," says Barnett.
"Users can now access this information within six different sections on our website. The first section, 'Tips and Hints' provides users with information that is currently sought through our support centre. As we have a large customer base, we can consolidate all support calls into generic categories and release this support call information thorough our website online.
"The second section, titled 'Latest Releases' gives users detailed information about the release of the latest version of our products. The 'Coming Soon' section then informs users of each of the key features that will be released in the new editions coming over the next six months. We have kept noting private. Contrary to most software companies, we've decided to tell users about all of the key features we intend to build. Of course the risk is that we expose our business to our competitors, but we would rather keep our customers properly informed of our plans for our product set, than just build new features and inform our customers after their release.
"We have also created a 'Feature Requests' section, which allows our users to tells our customers which features have been suggested recently and whether or not we are able to support them. In general, most features requested by customers are able to be released within our product set, as MPMM is an extremely scalable platform. Written in Microsoft .net, it enables us to develop whole new functionality within just weeks. The latest release of MPMM which includes complete customization features was developed within just 3 months and released 2 weeks ago. We have had an enormous uptake of this new version since.
"The two remaining sections that we have just released are the 'Did you know' and 'Q&A' sections. On these web pages, we are able to keep our users informed with the latest questions and answers received and generated by our support department. Not only does this reduce our support overhead, but it also enables our users to gain a better understanding of the potential use of our products."
The 'Latest News' page will help customers improve their knowledge of the product and improve their chances of delivering projects successfully.
