Elite Doctor Gets Movie Role in "Rite of Passage!"

Elite Personal Physician Services, Inc.'s president and medical director, Dr. Cheryl BryantBruce, M.D. has been casted into a role in the movie "Rite of Passage," directed by Chris Dickerson. In this instance art imitates life as the veteran actor and real life physician takes on the role of the fictional Dr. Songhi. The director did not know that she was a doctor when he asked actor Cheryl Denise to audition for the role. Dr. BryantBruce will be filming in January 2007 in Los Angeles.

Beverly Hills, CA (PRWEB) January 1, 2007 -- Dr. Cheryl BryantBruce, M.D. of Elite Personal Physician Services, Inc. joins the line of doctors turned actors as she begins filming her role in the major motion picture "Rite of Passage," directed by Chris "Cisco" Dickerson, starring Josh Austin and Jim Neville and featuring "old school" rapper Kurtis Blo.

The film, which features a soundtrack by artists such as Ice-T, Latin Froz, Young Bo and Chosen, is a story about the human side of cops. In "Rite of Passage, " Dr. BryantBruce, plays the role of ….what else?...a doctor! Ironically enough, Dickerson did not know that she was a doctor when she was cast into the role. Dr. BryantBruce performs under the stage name "Cheryl Denise." She answered an audition call for the role of a character called "Angie Lee." The role of "Angie Lee" had already been casted, but Dickerson had another role in mind for Cheryl. When he asked her if she could play the role of a doctor, Cheryl burst out laughing, revealing to Cisco that this was a role she plays every day.

Although this celebrity doctor was recently written up in Private Clubs magazine as one of the top "over-the-top" services in the world of elite services, she is not an amateur entertainer. A veteran entertainer, Cheryl Denise actually left a cable television show to go off to medical school to become Dr. Cheryl BryantBruce, M.D. Dr. BryantBruce was president of her medical school class, assisted in her duties by her vice president, none other than Dr. Rob Rey, from the hit show "Doctor 90210." She has continued performing off and on ever since, in every genre of media and across stages from San Francisco to New York. Not your average doctor, Cheryl passes up the Rockports for stylish stilettos and business drab for designer chic! Don't take her lightly though!

This board certified physician has been named in numerous Who's Who publications as tops in the medical field and as a business executive and entrepreneur. All that and a bag of chips too? You got it! This stethoscope carrying braniac was also a former Miss Black Sacramento and a Monte Award nominee for Best Supporting Actress for her heart-wrenching rendition of the role of the "Lady-In-Red" in the play "For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuff." Dr. BryantBruce/Cheryl Denise takes her entertainment career just as seriously as her medical career. She reports that each enhances her performance in the other. The experience of being able to project herself into a variety of different roles, connecting with the human experiences that are portrayed through them, allows her to better connect with her patients. Her interactions with various different patients gives her experiences to draw upon as she transforms herself into any one of her acting roles.

Although successfully juggling two careers is not easy, Dr. BryantBruce loves the marriage of the two, because it provides balance in her life, allowing her to approach life from opposite ends of the spectrum and to never take herself too seriously in either.

Actress Cheryl Denise, the real Dr. BryantBruce, begins filming her role as the fictional Dr. Songhi in Los Angeles in January 2007.
