New York, NY (PRWEB) January 2, 2007 -- The National Association of Black Sports Professionals (NABSP) enjoyed a festive evening recently at a holiday cocktail party honoring former New York Knicks captain, NBA All-Star and current ESPN analyst, Allan Houston, and the Allan Houston Foundation (www.AllanHoustonFoundation.org) at the Tupelo Grill.
Following a networking reception, Houston and Jonathan M. Herman, Vice President, Marketing & Operations, for the foundation, gave a brief presentation highlighting the foundation's third annual "Father Knows Best" retreat and introduced its latest initiative, the Allan Houston/Citigroup Business Education & Development Program -- a cutting-edge educational program designed to empower young entrepreneurs to pursue their business interests in partnership with the National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship and the Harlem YMCA.
The event also gave NABSP members the opportunity to meet and mingle with NABSP Founder and Chairman, Kristi Stepteau, NABSP National and New York Chapter officers as well as other industry professionals. A portion of the proceeds from the event was donated to the Allan Houston Foundation.
