Bulgarian PR leader M3 Communications Group. Inc., a Hill & Knowlton Associate, won the highest branding recognition by being included in Bulgaria's first edition of the Superbrands Bulgaria luxury book.
The project is part of the global Superbrands programme, which aims to promote and reward the strongest local and foreign brands operating within the domestic market. It exists now in 60 countries all over the world and is known as highest respected benchmark for the quality of the brands in each country. The respected publication, known as the Bible of branding, contains the story of some of those brands and is seen by many as the encyclopedia of branding.
M3 Communincations Group, Inc. is the first and only public communications firm included in the "bible of brands" in Bulgaria.
The awards for the strongest brands were presented at an Official Awards Ceremony at the Sheraton Sofia Hotel Balkan. The President of the Global Superbrands organization Bill Colegrave and members of the Bulgarian Superbrands Board welcomed the Managers and CEO's of some of the strongest consumer brands present in Bulgaria and the many governmental officials, ambassadors and key members of the press who attended the event.

Nominated amongst hundreds of its peers, M3 Communications Group, Inc. was voted a Superbrand by an independent expert jury, called the Board of Superbrands Bulgaria, and via a consumer Internet voting. The results of both votes ware combined and had equal power in determining the end score.
"This is the 60th country to launch a Superbrands programme and it comes at a very important time for Bulgaria. There is no doubt -- we see it from London as you can do here -- that the center of economic power in Europe is moving East. The accession to the EU is a recognition of this change not a cause of it. There is one brand that we should celebrate here today which is more important and valuable to all of us that the others -- that is the brand Bulgaria itself," Mr. Colegrave said.
All participating brands will be able to use the special Superbrands symbol in all their internal and external marketing communications. The companies will also benefit from the Superbrands Members Exchange programme that will allow them to come in contact with potential partners, investors and marketing experts from all over the world.
The global organization Superbrands and the programme with the same name were born in the United Kingdom 10 years ago. Since then it has spread to 60 countries worldwide, confirming its position as the independent arbiter on branding. The programme includes more than 3,000 of the leading world brands, as well as the biggest authorities in marketing, business and society.
