Talking Rock, Phoenix Home & Garden Name Sharlot Hall Museum Recipient of Idea House Proceeds

Custom home tours in Prescott, AZ scheduled for first three weekends in June.

Prescott, AZ (PRWEB) January 4, 2007 -- Talking Rock and Phoenix Home & Garden recently named Sharlot Hall Museum the recipient of all proceeds at the Spring 2007 debut of The Idea House -- a 5,200 square foot ranch-style compound consisting of three separate buildings that will feature reclaimed wood floors, intimate flowing open spaces, uniquely designed ceilings and fireplaces, custom library shelves and more. A truly unique parcel of Prescott, AZ real estate, the Idea House will showcase the best of old-time craftsmanship and also the best of what is new.

Set on just over an acre golf course home site in the Talking Rock development among other Prescott Arizona real estate properties, the Idea House is now well under construction. Once completed, the custom home in Prescott will feature a main residence that will reflect an updated Arts & Crafts design, a homestead-style guest cottage and barnlike garage with an upstairs bunkhouse, all of which will be built with attention to every detail. The Idea House will open for tours three consecutive weekends (Thursday-Sunday), June 7-24, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Event proceeds will benefit Sharlot Hall Museum and help promote their ongoing dedication to the preservation and education of Prescott Arizona history.

We hope that the Idea House not only generates a lot of interest and excitement in new design and home building techniques, but that we reach our fundraising goal and help the museum continue to preserve the wonderful history of Prescott.
“We’re proud to be associated with such an historic, reputable organization as Sharlot Hall,” said Bill Phalen, President and CEO of Phoenix Home & Garden. “We hope that the Idea House not only generates a lot of interest and excitement in new design and home building techniques, but that we reach our fundraising goal and help the museum continue to preserve the wonderful history of Prescott.”

Equally as fortunate to have such a great community connection to Sharlot Hall is Talking Rock, one of the most popular private golf communities in Prescott. Said Director of Sales Jim Buckley, “When we needed assistance from the community, we had only one organization in mind -- Sharlot Hall. Talking Rock is proud to be a partner with the museum and will continue to be a big supporter for years to come.”

Sharlot Hall is currently the largest museum in central Arizona and is dedicated to providing educational adventures in human and natural history. Founded by historian and poet
Sharlot M. Hall in 1928, the museum is dedicated to keeping the rich diversity of Prescott’s
regional heritage alive through festivals, living history events, outdoor theater performances, changing exhibits, publications and research services.
