Scott Poulson, 33, has been appointed Creative Director of Norwich, UK-based branding and creative agency Simon Middleton Company, as the business begins its second year of operation: a year which will see the agency double in size.
Scott, who was previously responsible for graphic design at Centaur Media's Conference Division in London, will lead the visual direction of the agency. Clients range from Bedfordshire Pilgrims Housing Association to Isis Conveyancing Insurance Specialists, as well as Norwich Union, and MyNorfolk, our county's entry into the Government's Digital Challenge competition.
"Scott's arrival is a really important moment for us. His skills represent a perfect complement to the creative approach to brand strategy that we espouse at the agency," commented Managing Director and founder Simon Middleton.
"Scott is not only an exceptionally talented designer, but he also shares my vision of an agency which really thinks about what a client actually needs to communicate, and which is utterly dedicated to the highest possible standards of service," Simon added.
Scott has a wide-ranging portfolio developed over a decade of work as a designer, including five years at the Financial Times.
His design experience includes corporate identities, websites, advertising and direct marketing as well as album covers for independent record labels.
Scott's appointment follows that of Account Director Alison Brown, who joined Simon Middleton Company from Virgin Money last summer.
"It's an exciting time to have joined: this is an extremely ambitious and dynamic company, and we expect to make several more appointments during 2007," Scott added.
