OptimalResume Extends Reach to Over 750,000 Students, Adds Functionality

OptimalResume client base approaches 100 institutions reaching over 750,000 students.

(PRWEB) January 7, 2007 -- 2006 has been an eventful year for OptimalResume with the NACE/Chevron Award, the higher education institution client base approaching 100 and a major release of new software. Usage has more than tripled and over 750,000 students have access to OptimalResume as of January 1st, 2007. "We have spent the past year enhancing our software for scalability and wrapping new functionality around the needs of our clients. We are well prepared for rapid expansion", said Mark McNasby, CEO of OptimalResume. "We have an aggressive new product development schedule for 2007 and are already introducing Resume Book and Resume Bin functions which were requested by several schools." Those are summarized as follows:

Resume Book - Now, if a school chooses resume books can be created based on a wide variety of selectable criteria. For instance, if an employer wanted the resume book on accounting students with GPA's over 3.0 graduating in May with the letters "CPA" on their resumes, it would be a simple matter of a few clicks to create the resume book in Word®. The book can then be emailed or printed for the employer.

Resume Bin - For those schools that do not have an automated resume approval process in place and wish to have one, this new Resume Bin function may be just the answer. As students complete their resumes in OptimalResume they are prompted to submit them for counselor review. The resumes go into a holding bin accessible by counselors, who can then review, edit, approve, request further edits, and generally communicate with the student.

These new functions work hand-in-hand and are available to clients for free if they choose. It is OptimalResume's mission to streamline processes, help produce higher quality resumes and provide career centers with better tools to help market their students.

OptimalResume invites institutions to participate in free 30 day trials and receive demonstrations of the service. "The best proof of how well the service works is in the quality of the student resumes. We encourage student usage and feedback and are always looking for new ideas. Students and counselors are our greatest resources. We love to hear new ideas and comments!" said Mark.

OptimalResume.com's mission is to lead the resume software marketplace by providing private branding of the OptimalResume Builder™ to interested organizations.
