Toronto, ON (PRWEB) January 7, 2007
Pixelllite, the latest innovative marketer on the World Wide Web, announced its launch today with a new and improved concept of pixel advertising.
The index page of the website consists of a 1000 x 1000 pixel grid (one million pixels), where image-based links are sold for US $1.50 per pixel, with a minimum purchase of one block consisting of 10 x 10 pixels. Pixelllite.com aims to generate revenue through the sale of pixel based advertising, and offers over 60 percent of its revenue to users and advertisers through over 600 contests. Each contest comprises of a share for the user as well as the advertiser whose ad was clicked. Along with this Pixelllite is offering its members a chance of winning up to $150,000 in the form of referral contests, thus effectively using viral marketing.
The winner for each contest will be selected on the basis of clicks. Pixelllite will select different websites everyday that can lead the users to winning the next available contest and will provide hints as to what are the winning websites about, thus giving all users and advertisers a fair chance. Once the basic contests are over, Pixelllite will award the top 6 members in terms of new active members referred to join Pixelllite a total of up to $150,000.
Says Dheer Gupta, the 21 year old student who owns the website, "Pixelllite is a win-win concept designed to benefit all parties involved. I am also going to donate 5% of the earnings to a nonprofit organization, which will be selected by a poll. This is just the beginning of the pixel advertising era, and Pixelllite's aim will always be to benefit all and be at the forefront of innovation". Talking about the concept, Gupta says "Google was not a rip-off; it was just an idea of two young people to add something which was missing in the search-engines. Similarly all I am doing is value-adding to this concept and trying to find the most successful way."
The history of pixel advertising
Pixel advertising began with the launch of The Million Dollar Homepage in August 2005, when Alex Tew, a 21-year-old student from Wiltshire, England conceived a website dubbed as The Million Dollar Homepage, a solution to help raise money for his university education.
Pixelllite has been started with the aim to add more substance to the existing pixel based advertising industry along with the long term goal set towards using a part of the revenue generated towards research and development of a new and enriched targeted system of pixel advertising which can add more value to the present methods.
Dheer Gupta, the founder and owner of Pixelllite, is an international student of Marketing, in a downtown Toronto college.
