Motion Media Solutions Showcases Presbyterian Hospital's Success and Sets Stage for Future Growth

Motion Media Solutions produces high-definition video presentation celebrating Presbyterian Hospital's 'legacy of care' through the generosity of its faithful supporters.

In the midst of their Legacy of Care campaign, the largest fundraising endeavor in the history of the Presbyterian Healthcare System (PHS), Presbyterian Healthcare Foundation (PHF) wanted a warm, heart-felt presentation for their Annual Trustee Dinner in November.

PHF knew that just the right video could bring their vision to life. After several meetings and proposals, Motion Media Solutions proved to be the best fit for the project.

"Ross handled the proposal process very professionally and we felt he had a true grasp of our vision and goals for the project," said Laran C. O'Neill, manager, Communications PHF. "His pricing was also very fair, which is important for a non-profit organization."

Executive Producer Ross Mason and the Motion Media Solutions crew conducted extensive interviews with board members, administrators, doctors, and patients and crafted a 6-minute video which was heralded as the "zenith" of the event.

From business perspectives to personal experiences, the production explored the hospital's rich heritage, showcased its cutting edge technology and service, impact on the community, and lives it has touched. "It recognized the good work being done thanks to our supporters, and also showed the possibilities that lie ahead in the future with their continued support," said Jay McAuley, vice president for Strategy and Special Initiatives PHF.

Motion Media Solutions also produced two additional videos for the event featuring the recipient of the Bill Mays Award, Nora Cook for her years of dedicated nursing service, and Katie & John Jackson Award recipients Betty and James Muns for their exceptional volunteer service.

"It was just the right touch in each case," said Mr. McAuley. "I think everyone there was moved appropriately."

Motion Media Solutions worked closely with PHF committee and board members throughout the production of the videos to ensure the process ran as efficiently as possible.

"Everyone involved was very well prepared; supportive of the interviewees and conscientious about deadlines and timelines," said Susan Stahl, director Donor Relations PHF. "Since all of our participants were 'new' to the camera, the sensitivity of the Motion Media Solutions crew was especially appreciated."

A large portion of the Legacy of Care campaign involves funding of capital expansion projects at Presbyterian Hospitals of Allen, Dallas, and Plano, totaling more than $330 million.

Presbyterian Healthcare Foundation provides support to Presbyterian Hospitals of Allen, Dallas, Kaufman, Plano and Winnsboro and a retirement community, Presbyterian Village North.
