Australian Business Coaching Club director, Dr. Greg Chapman, has developed a tool to create a Mission Statement for the next year for a business.
"At this time of year, business owners like to consider what they will do to make the next year better than the last. They seek to create a vision of what they would like to achieve, and make a clear statement on how they will achieve it," Dr. Chapman said.
But in Dr Chapman's experience as a business coach, he has found that most owners of small businesses do not know where to start. So he has created a Mission Statement tool that is a step-by step guided process for creating a vision for the coming year.
"Owners find it difficult to differentiate between the important, and the merely urgent," Dr Chapman stated. "This tool will enable owners to step back from the coalface and consider what is really important in their business."
Dr Chapman said the idea came from a need for his clients to focus on the big picture when they started working on their business with him. He wanted to create a warm-up exercise before he started the heavy lifting of strategy.
"Having created the Mission Statement tool, I decided rather than just only giving it to my clients, I would pass it on to all business owners who wanted to work ON their business rather than IN it, but didn't know how," said Dr. Chapman.
"Managing a small or micro business often means long hours for minimal reward. The Australian Business Coaching Club simply provides an opportunity for business people to learn, grow, and improve their respective businesses at a lower cost."
The Mission Statement tool is just one of many provided to his clients who are able to work through an integrated educational curriculum via online resources and technologies.
