McGraw-Hill to Publish 22 Year Old CEO Ryan Allis' Book, Zero to One Million: How to Build a Company to $1 Million in Sales.

Broadwick Corp. today announced that its CEO Ryan Allis has signed a publishing contract with McGraw-Hill to bring his book, Zero to One Million: How to Build a Company to $1 Million in Sales, into bookstores. The book, which was originally self-published in 2003, will be fully updated and will tell the story of building Broadwick Corporation from nothing into a multimillion-dollar company. It will launch in the Fall of 2007.

Zero to One Million will tell the story behind how partners Aaron Houghton (25) and Ryan Allis (22) have bootstrapped Broadwick from a fledging start-up in Chapel Hill, NC into a venture-backed leading North Carolina technology company with over 8000 customers, 40 employees and $4 million in annual sales. The book will also provide a ten step process for building a company to $1 million in annual sales as well as interviews with the region's most successful entrepreneurs including Motricity's Jud Bowman, NC IDEA's Dave Rizzo, and Inspire Pharmaceutical's Christy Shafer.

Donya Dickerson, editor on the project from McGraw-Hill, shared her enthusiasm about the book, "I'm so thrilled to be working with Ryan on his book. His story is very inspirational and his dynamic message of how to achieve success is one that will really help other entrepreneurs achieve their dreams."

In response to the publishing announcement, Allis commented, "I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to share the Broadwick story with a national audience. Going from living in a 700 sq. foot office in downtown Chapel Hill during the summer of 2003 to having a multimillion-dollar company with 40 employees has been the ride of a lifetime. I hope to be able to convey the excitement of the journey as well as the critical lessons I learned within Zero to One Million."
