In a pre-holidays study, the Journal de Montreal newspaper rated Aldo Shoes and La Senza E-Commerce websites in its top two positions of its e-commerce rankings. The Newspaper's journalists went shopping online and compared retail e-commerce websites in categories including: website usability, search capabilities, merchandising, multilingual capabilities, payment, shipping, packaging and return policies. Key characteristics which the study rated the retailers with the highest marks included:

- La Senza: Easy to use sizing grids, product presentation, ability to shop by brand, gift and on-sale sections, multiple shipping and payment options and wish list capabilities which include the ability to send wish lists to friends and family.
Both Aldo Shoes and La Senza received praise for easy and fast refunds.
