Access Business Technologies Upgrades 1600 Users in the Month of December Without Interruption

ABT managed services continue to provide the mortgage industry with enterprise-level delivery.

Access Business Technologies, the Mortgage Technology Experts, recently completed the upgrade of over 1600 end users on its PowerCore managed services environment. These upgrades occurred in the month of December and were performed on applications such as DelMar's DataTrac mortgage banking software, Calyx Point loan origination applications, Harland Corporation's Interlinq loan servicing applications and Microsoft Exchange Server. While ABT performs user upgrades throughout the year, the December upgrade schedule represented a record number of user upgrades in a single month. End users of all applications experienced no interruption to their daily business functions.

As part of ABT's standard managed process and an ongoing commitment to enterprise-class availability, ABT personnel ensured through staged tests that all upgraded applications would meet or exceed existing service levels. ABT also ensured that all production systems were capable of being immediately restored to prior operating functionality if problems arose during the upgrade process. In addition, the numerous organizations with specialized interfaces were provided a staging environment in order to confirm functionality prior to their production upgrade.

As part of the improved feature sets within the upgraded applications, ABT personnel recognized that some of their customer's business process would be altered. During the staged testing, ABT recognized these changes and advised their customers of the new functionality and possible changes in business process that would be required.
