Saint Louis, MO (PRWEB) January 11, 2007 -- An innovative and creative approach by The Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA-CWA) has created an instantaneous and mobile information network for Northwest Airlines flight attendants. The organization has developed a cost-effective solution supported by MESAGEbuzz that will send text alerts and messages to cell phones of attendants. The Association of Flight Attendants represents more than 8,600 flight attendants for Northwest and is using MESSAGEbuzz's web-based platform to develop a custom mobile solution that will send important news to members at the right time and right place.
"We can now provide instant communications with our members," said MEC Mobilization Coordinator, Doug Moe. "The nature of our jobs makes it essential we have a mobile system in place and MESSAGEbuzz's flexibility allows us to design a solution that serves our members best. Northwest flight attendants sign-up to get news alerts on their cell phones, and don't have to rely on computers or calls to their home," Moe added.
Moe designed the mobile communication platform supported by MESSAGEbuzz and found it to be easy to use and customize: "Our new approach with text messages to mobile devices will also allow attendants to interact and ask for more information and details from their phone. The text messages will fill voids in our communication plan that e-mails, website postings, and phone calls cannot address."
