Following a successful trial period, UK enum is now ready to enter the commercial phase.

At the end of 2006 a Limited Liability Company, UK Enum Consortium Ltd (UKEC) was created to oversee the appointment and management of a Tier 1 registrar who will be responsible for the delegation of numbers under 4.4.e164.arpa

In the interim, UKEG will continue to work closely with UKEC in relation to matters of policy and post trial implementations.

UKEC will deliver a presentation and lead a workshop on Wednesday, January 17, from 13.00 hrs at the The Hop Cellars Function Rooms, 24 Southwark Street, London, SE1 1TY

This will be to provide further details of the RFP and clarification of the bidding and selection process.

A Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued to selected vendors who have expressed an interest in managing the registry service.

Enum2go Ltd, a UKEG member and UK based Company will seek to provide Tier 2 registry services under 4.4.164.arpa.

"Initially these services will be offered to applicants for free during the pre commercial phase," said Alex Nikolov, Technical Director of Enum2go Ltd.

Since 2002, Enum2go has been involved in the development of the first ever commercial deployment of Enum services based on the +87810 country code, also participating in the +359 delegation in Bulgaria.

We are providing commercial enum services to next generation operators and service providers.
