TelcoBridges' DS3 TB640 System-Blades™ Enable High-Capacity Voice Switching at Vertex Telecom in Los Angeles, CA - 12 Triple-DS3 TB640 System-Blades™ Are In Service and Carrying Six Million Minutes per Day

TelcoBridges Inc. and Vertex Telecom in Los Angeles, CA have deployed 12 TB640-DS3 System-BladesTM to enable high capacity DS3 voice switching service carrying 6 million minutes of traffic per day. The system uses 12 triple-DS3 TB640 System-Blades™ and Goldway's Service Creation Environment application generator software.

Montreal, QC (PRWEB) January 16, 2007 -- TelcoBridges Inc. announced today that Vertex Telecom in Los Angeles, CA is successfully using the TB640-DS3 System-BladeTM to enable its high capacity DS3 voice switching service. The system uses 12 triple-DS3 TB640 System-Blades™ and expansions to the system are already planned for later in 2007, with the addition of more DS3 blades.

"As a direct result of TelcoBridges' innovative technology combined with the Service Creation Environment (SCE) software layer developed by Goldway Communication Ltd. for the TelcoBridges' platform, our client Vertex was able to greatly reduce time to market and develop a flexible and extremely scalable system in less than one month," said Jim Tirjan, Sales Director, the Americas, TelcoBridges Inc.

Goldway's SCE product not only significantly reduces the development cycle for customers such as Vertex, but also gives them complete access to all of the carrier-grade features of the TelcoBridges platform.

Jim Chiu, CEO, Vertex Telecom, Inc. commented: "As a result of rapidly expanding market demand from our U.S. and Asian clientele, Vertex needed to upgrade its tandem switching platform to one that could scale quickly and easily to support a huge amount of traffic with built-in carrier-class reliability."

"After careful study of our existing switches, plus other market offerings, we soon realized that by using the TelcoBridges DS3 System-BladeTM, Vertex could meet its current traffic capacity needs and obtain the capability to easily scale the system to support future growth cost-effectively," continued Chiu.

TelcoBridges' TB640-DS3 System-BladeTM offers a non-blocking architecture, up to three DS3 ports, and supports a wide range of signaling and media processing protocols. It is the ideal building block for developing a variety of telecom applications requiring TDM, VoIP and IVR functionalities.

"Vertex also chose to work with Goldway to benefit from their SCE capabilities, which is why we have successfully upgraded our switching platform in record time by installing a 36-port DS3 system based on TelcoBridges' TB640-DS3 System-Blade™. We are extremely impressed by its stellar performance to date," Chiu concluded.

"The demand for a swift delivery of new applications and services is a business imperative," said Steven Zhang, General Manager, Goldway Communication Ltd. "We noticed that for many system integrators, much of the application development effort is deployed to interface with the hardware. By developing a software layer on TelcoBridges' proven and reliable architecture, Goldway has created an SCE product offering which enables TelcoBridges users to focus on what they do best - higher-level application development. As demonstrated at Vertex Telecom, it gives them an extremely short time to market, improving their competitiveness," continued Zhang.

The new tandem switch is located in Vertex's co-location facility in Los Angeles, CA, and managed from their newly renovated state-of-the-art Network Operations Center (NOC).
