iNDiGO TV Cell Phone-centric, Interactive and User Generated Television Celebrates 1st Anniversary

iNDiGO TV celebrates 1st year anniversary by adding RCN Cable to its distribution in New York City.

New York, NY (Billboard Publicity Wire/PRWEB ) January 17, 2007 -- iNDiGO TV - New York City based, Live, Interactive TV with User Generated Content - airs Thursdays 8:00-9:00 pm, on RCN channel 8 and Time Warner Cable channel 35 in NYC.

New Yorkers are first in the United States to experience cell phone iTV, which has had huge success in Europe and Asia. The text message based LIVE talk show targets an 18-34 year old demographic, providing a cross platform for participation, creativity and community interactivity. iNDiGO TV is paving the way to the future of entertainment and social networking through its strong local following and use of unique technology.

Guests and features showcase an urban lifestyle that is based on events in New York City, artists and pop culture, showcasing user generated videos and music. The live talk show is spiced with exciting text messages from New Yorkers, displayed on the television screen, where viewers interact directly with hosts, guests and other viewers.

The TV broadcast is supported by the user generated content web site www.indigo.tv. The web site capabilities make uploading simple. You can upload existing files and content directly from a video camera, web cam and from a cell phone. In addition, all material can be easily edited online.

The site also has the capacity for uploading MP3s and photos. Users can broaden their experience with an expansive NYC event calendar and a full mobile portal to download ring tones, games and wallpapers.

Privately owned iNDiGO iTV LLC made history when it launched the FIRST cell phone enabled interactive TV in United States on February 2nd 2006. The company pioneered the first text to TV screen system in 2000 in Finland, when it developed the proprietary iNDiGO iCon Platform, which can be used with iTV and numerous live Mobile TV applications.

The iNDiGO iCON platform is available for licensing for TV broadcasters and Mobile carriers.
