Lots of players, and lots of great support from Bodog.

PokerListings.com (http://www.pokerlistings.com/bodog-poker), the world's best online poker resource, and Bodog.com (http://www.bodog.com/promotions/poker/pokerlistings) are excited to announce the winner of last month's exclusive $10K freeroll, a 27-year-old Sacramento high school teacher with the alias "my-skrill."
And, like any polished poker pro, he already knows where his $2,300 is going:
"Just using it to build my bankroll," he says. "For the moment."
A fairly new convert to poker, picking it up only in March of last year, my-skrill says he plays poker an hour or two a day, and only on Bodog.com. He knew he was on to something with the co-sponsored freeroll, despite the doubts of his girlfriend.
"She thought I was wasting my time with the tournament," he says.
But my-skrill knew enough to stick with it, and knew what do to when things started falling his way.
"There were a lot of solid players at the table with me," he says. "I was fortunate to have good cards early on. I built up my stack and was able to use it to push others around for much of the competition."
"This is the biggest win I've had in a single session," my-skrill added. "It was a great experience, and I hope PokerListings.com runs this promotion again!"
Like all winners should, my-skrill will get his wish: two more freerolls are still to come in January. The first, on Jan. 27, is another for $10K. The second, on Jan. 28, is an even bigger $30K freeroll, with two $12,500 packages to the WPT L.A. Poker Classic on the table.
First and second place in the World Poker Tour freeroll will receive the $10,000 buy-in and $2,500 cash for the No-Limit Hold'em main event at the Commerce Casino in Los Angeles, home of the largest poker room in the world. Located next door to Hollywood, it's a sun-drenched, star-studded place to play cards, and an undeniable WPT favorite.
Qualifying for both freerolls ends Jan. 20, 2007.
"The $10K freeroll series at Bodog.com has been fantastic," says Lianne Elias, senior editor at PokerListings.com. "Lots of players, and lots of great support from Bodog."
"We couldn't be happier for my-skrill," she added, "and wish him all the best in the next two events. The L.A. Poker Classic is easily one of the most sought after main event seats on the World Poker Tour, and anyone would have an incredible time playing in it."
"He wouldn't have a hard time convincing his girlfriend to go to Hollywood in February either, I bet!"
