Stinson Morrison is a great example of a firm looking to stop replacing and maintaining terminals by switching to a solution they will never have to replace. Canon's MEAP program has allowed us to build an application that integrates seamlessly for them.
Phoenix, Ariz. (PRWEB) January 18, 2007
Canon U.S.A., Inc, the nation's market share brand leader in black-and-white and color copier solutions(i), and nQueue, Inc., the leading provider of integrated cost recovery software, today announced the availability of nQueue's Embedded™ integrated cost recovery system for Canon imageRUNNER MFPs using Canon's innovative Multifunctional Embedded Application Platform (MEAP)® technology. nQueue also announced the successful implementation of its Embedded™ system at Kansas City-based Stinson Morrison & Hecker.
Using Canon's proprietary MEAP technology, nQueue has developed an embedded application for their industry-leading software-based cost recovery solutions. Users can enter client-related information directly at the control panel of a Canon device. The application provides full-featured cost capture and analysis without the need for a hardware terminal.
"The integration of nQueue's Embedded™ technology with Canon MEAP technology and imageRUNNER devices is a significant advantage for law firms looking to combine effective scan, print and copy solutions with cost-efficient and simplified cost recovery," said Sam Yoshida, vice president and general manager, Enterprise Systems Division, Canon U.S.A., Inc.
One such law firm is Stinson Morrison & Hecker, ranked at number 174 in the 2006 "AmLaw 200" list of the largest law firms. The firm has successfully implemented nQueue Embedded™ brand technology for Canon.
"With nQueue Embedded™ technology we can now avoid purchasing new terminals every 5 years," said Douglas Doerfler, Stinson's Chief Financial Officer. "We are also able to continue to use our current Canon imageRUNNER devices without adding any hardware." Because nQueue's Embedded™ technology is software-based, its clients need not be concerned with replacing hardware terminals as they become damaged or obsolete, or for technological upgrades, resulting in a reduced total cost of ownership.
John Gilbert, Vice President Sales & Marketing at nQueue said, "Stinson Morrison is a great example of a firm looking to stop replacing and maintaining terminals by switching to a solution they will never have to replace. Canon's MEAP program has allowed us to build an application that integrates seamlessly for them."
nQueue has invested in development and programming to make the Canon integration its most feature-rich integrated product to date. This version of integrated Embedded™ brand software include copy and scan tracking, the ability to differentiate black & white from color printing and a quick recall list of frequently-used account numbers.
The nQueue Embedded Software will be demonstrated on a Canon imageRUNNER device in the nQueue booth (#536) at the upcoming LegalTech® New York 2007, January 29-31, at the Hilton New York Hotel. Further information can be obtained by visiting nQueue's website at http://www.nqueue.com.
