ValentineWall.com Offers a Unique Valentine's Day Gift Idea for 2007

Buying a unique Valentine's Day gift just got easier. A new website offers shoppers permanent online Valentine's Day cards.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) January 19, 2007 -- ValentineWall.com went online this month with a simple concept -- individuals and companies can purchase permanent online Valentine's Day "cards" that are displayed on the site's homepage. The cards, which are square sections of the homepage, range in price from $1 to $200 with the more expensive cards appearing at the top of the list.

The reasoning behind online cards is simple acording to the site's owner, Robert Henegar. "Expressing your feelings in an online card is like writing them into the history books," he said, adding that the real value comes from being able to go back and read cards from previous years. But more than that, Henegar feels that the site helps promote the Valentine's Day spirit by allowing site visitors to read the cards written by others.

Suprisingly, the site only offers 200 cards for sale each year. The reason is more a matter of practicality than anything else. "Because we're allowing people to buy a whole block of space, the page can quickly become very large," said Henegar, "so we decided to keep it to a reasonable number to make sure the page can display quickly." The result is that only the first 200 buyers will be able to purchase a card. And with February 14th less than a month away, it seems certain that site will sell out quickly.

Online advertising has seen many new ideas over the past few years. And while companies and even celebrities or other prominent personalities may get a reasonable amount of exposure from visitors reading their cards, Henegar insists that the site was not created as an advertising outlet. "We as a society have a tendency to become very jaded and cynical throughout the year. Stopping for a moment to read the feelings and sentiments of others has a way of taking the edge off and softening you a little bit."

Happy Valentine's Day.
