CDMA450 Congress Explored the Current and Future Challenges in the Russian Market. Among 200 participants from nearly 20 countries were present.

It is hard to over-estimate the significance of the Congress for the CDMA450 industry: network operators, infrastructure vendors and service providers have shared their global experience, and explored different business models

'CDMA450 Congress in Russia and CIS' - one of the most significant events of CDMA450 industry - took place on 14-15 December, 2006, in Moscow, Russian Federation. This event within three years has provided a crucial meeting place for CDMA450 operators and all market players from across Russia, the CIS and other countries to meet and debate the status and issues of the CDMA450 standard and networks deployment and development in Russia and worldwide, as well as CDMA450 based solutions.

This year CDMA450 Congress explored the current and future challenges in the Russian market faced by experts in telecommunications, Russian and foreign operators, international organizations, state regulatory authorities; CDMA equipment manufacturers, system integrators, platforms and applications developers, content-providers, corporate users. Among 200 participants from nearly 20 countries were representatives of Vodafone Netherlands, Sky Link, Zapp, Alcatel - Lucent, Qualcomm, Cisco Systems, Huawei Technologies, ZTE, AnyDATA Inc., Zakang, Woongjin Platinum Media Co., Peter Service, G5 Entertainment, Twist Box, Interactivi, Vyuga Technologies and others.

"It is hard to over-estimate the significance of the Congress for the CDMA450 industry: network operators, infrastructure vendors and service providers have shared their global experience, and explored different business models," said Vadim Belyavskiy, Chairman of IA450. "At the moment there are 38 commercial CDMA450 networks with more than 7 mln subscribers worldwide. Over 15 new members have joined IA450 this year. It demonstrates a steady growth of the market, where high quality voice and high-speed data services are being delivered by cdma2000 technology in 450 MHz frequency spectrum in rural and urban areas, efficiently for the operator and affordably to the user."
