Tranquil Counseling Celebrates Grand Opening of Innovative eCounseling Website

Innovative counseling service, Tranquil Counseling, celebrates the grand opening of their new eCounseling services website.

Indianapolis, Indiana (PRWEB) January 22, 2007 -- Innovative counseling service, Tranquil Counseling, celebrates the grand opening of their new eCounseling services website.

Tranquil Counseling is an innovative company offering counseling services online through email and one on one chat. Counseling services include discreet therapy for relaxation, grief, loss, stress management, empty nest syndrome, post traumatic stress syndrome, end of life issues, anger management, abuse, rape, anxiety, womens issues, depression and much more. Privacy is assured and a strict code of ethics is adhered to by all of Tranquil Counseling's staff. Security is also a priority, using 2048 encrypted email and chat technologies, Tranquil Counseling can guarantee security and a healthy counseling relationship that is helpful.

eCounseling works by the patient first filling out a questionnaire. A counselor will then review your questionnaire and think about what you wrote, your counselor will then start by asking you more questions. At the end of the 3 e-mail exchanges that comprise the first session, you'll have a clarification of the problem, suggestions for where to go from here, ie. whether to continue with your counselor if you so choose or seek out some other form of advice or therapy and individualized advice about your specific issues. With eCounseling, there are no preset formats - each person is unique.

Online therapy is a good choice for people who are comfortable with putting their thoughts in writing and are able to do so in a reasonably organized manner. It is also a good choice for people who have difficulty getting to a counselor, whether that's due to living in an area where counseling is not available, living in a country where English is not widely spoken, working long hours or difficulty leaving the home for any reason. It is also a good choice for people who are either uncomfortable about face to face counselling or just prefer e-mail as a convenient and relaxed mode of communication.

Tranquil Counseling invites you to their grand opening to try their unique, Internet based counseling services.

Tranquil Counseling was founded in 2006 by Raymond Fox of Indiana. Raymond is a grief counselor certified with the American Institute of Healthcare Professionals. Raymond also sits on the advisory boards for the AIHCP in grief counseling and stress management. Raymond Fox, at the age of 7 years old and in 1985, was hit by a car and experienced one of the worst forms of loss. Raymond broke his neck at the C-1 and C-2 vertebrae, (the base of the skull for those not knowing), severing his spinal cord. From then on Raymond has been a quadriplegic, no use of his limbs and in need of a respirator to breathe. A keen loss that he deals with on a regular basis. An experience that makes him uniquely empathetic to the losses of those around him and highly capable at counseling you through your painful losses as well. That is the experience but there are more experiences with loss that moved Raymond into becoming a grief counselor. In 2005, Raymond experienced a massive cerebral hemorrhage that incapacitated him even further. Raymond was left without the ability of speech. Of all the things that could happen, what little was left to him, was gone. With much therapy and recovery, he overcame and got back to being his old self, but better. Stress was also a debilitating factor that delayed recovery. A hard time that could have been better, with proper stress management techniques. During this time of recovery Raymond went back to school. He obtained required educational skills for grief and loss counseling as well as stress management consulting and counseling. Raymond would become a counselor to help others with their grief, loss and stress.

Another counselor at Tranquil Counseling is Kathy Brown, a masters level gerontological psychologist and has expertise and interest in the areas of women's issues. This interests her because she can relate to problems that arise with women, and problem solving in this area is challenging but worthwhile. Many of the problems that women have are related to relationship issues and she enjoys the personal growth that comes with looking at and analyzing behaviors and outcomes.

eCounseling is an online version of traditional counseling or therapy seesions by a therapist, psychologist, psychotherapist, counselor, social worker or other mental health practitioner. eCounseling takes the traditional method of therapy, where a face to face meeting occurred, usually in a practitioner's office and instead provides similar services via the Internet using email and live chat. While the patient is not able to see or speak vocally to the counselor, they are still able to communicate their thoughts in order to gain advice and help.
