The Heal Breast Cancer Foundation, “HBCF,” is pleased to announce the first Heal Breast Cancer Awards & Gala, taking place on February 22, 2007 at the Sofitel Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA. Outstanding pioneers in the fields of Integrative Medicine, Socially Conscious Businesses and Arts & Awareness are to be honored.
Honorees include: Eckhart Tolle (author of “The Power of Now”), Dr. Dean Ornish (director Preventive Medicine Research Institute), Dr. Christiane Northrup (author of "Women's Bodies, Women's Wisdom"), Dr. Carl O Simonton (Simonton Center in Malibu), Susan Ryan Jordan (author of “The Immune Spirit”), William Arntz (director of “What the Bleep”). The Gala honors individuals and businesses playing a major role in shifting global consciousness towards an integrative and holistic concept of individual and global health. As a well deserved gift to the honorees, highly regarded Spiritual Artist Paul Heussentamm is to create individual paintings for each of them, taking into account aspects of their personality and taste.
The event features a sit down dinner, a rich experience of touching arts, surprise entertainment, special presenters and VIP reception with honorees. Benefit committee includes: Rosie O Donnell, Geena Davis, Sir Ben Kingsley, Ben Stiller, Tommy Lee Jones, Alfre Woodard and more.
Individual tickets are $500 each and are available for online purchase at: http://www.healbreastcancer.org
Proceeds from the evening will benefit the Heal Breast Cancer Foundation. Their mission is to research the cause and healing mechanism of cancer, based on a “holistic and biopsychosocial” model of integrative medicine.
Johannes R. Fisslinger, President of the Heal Breast Cancer Foundation, commented: “Even if we know many risk factors for breast cancer, the cause is still unknown. Our team of physicians and experts believes that the key to preventing and curing cancer lies in an integrative, holistic and bio-logical understanding of the body, mind, spirit and environment connection. We intend to support research that expands on the current biomechanical model and integrates the importance of our emotions, thoughts and coping skills.”
