NAWBO Chicago Area Chapter Appoints Tash as Chair of Corporate Retention Committee

The Chicago Area Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), one of the largest national women's organizations with more than 90 chapters, recently appointed Sharan Tash, founder of the Wilmette based business, The Professional Networker to position of Corporate Retention Chairperson.

Chicago, IL (PRWEB) January 22, 2007 -- The Chicago Area Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), one of the largest national women's organizations with more than 90 chapters, recently appointed Sharan Tash, founder of the Wilmette based business, The Professional Networker (www.TheProNetworker.com) to position of Corporate Retention Chairperson.

NAWBO® Chicago Corporate partners are champions for NAWBO® Chicago's mission and vision for women owned businesses, contributing resources, tools, opportunities, experience and a source of business for its' members.

Tash will lead the Corporate Retention team by:

 
  • Facilitating Corporate Partner involvement in the Chapter
  • Providing information to the Chapter about wants and needs of Corporate Partners
  • Working with Corporate Partners to ensure that their benefits are used and their needs are being met
  • Provide an opportunity for each Corporate Partner to recognize a Women of Achievement from their organization

The Chair appointment reflects Tash's three-year history of active NAWBO membership and service. This position includes her current Board position as Program Director, and committee member for Affiliates, Connecting Points and Corporate Development. In 2005, she won the National "Rookie of the Year" Award at the organization's national convention.

"NAWBO is a dynamic organization where women business owners can do more than just network. We give back through our Next Generation Outreach program or our free Advisory Board for our members. We can get involved in the political scene through the NAWBO PAC, or with all our Affiliate organizations.
