Mackinac Island, MI (PRWEB) January 20, 2007 -- Research & Development (R&D) leaders in China will now have the chance to learn the latest breakthrough techniques in innovation management. Bart Huthwaite, a leader in systematic R&D innovation, will be delivering two intensive workshops in Shanghai during the week of June 11.

The first, a two-day workshop on June 11-12, will be on how to apply the Innovation Cube, a systematic, step-by-step, metrics-driven method for leading a project team to a higher level of innovation.

The second, on June 14-15, will give R&D leaders a step-by-step methodology for finding, selecting, managing, and measuring an innovative product portfolio.

China is now the world's third highest investor in R&D, behind the United States and Japan. Recognizing China's growing role, most U.S. large corporations now have R&D centers in China.

Huthwaite will also chair a one-day conference June 13 on "Managing the Human Side in China-Based Product Development Teams."

Corporate practitioners will include:

GE Healthcare China., Nestle, 3M China, Microsoft Advanced Technology Center, Unilever China, Ford Motor Company R&D China, Diebold Financial Equipment China, and Schindler Elevators.

Bart Huthwaite and the Institute for Lean Innovation assists R&D leaders at such companies as General Dynamics, Motorola, Raytheon, Masco, Microsoft, Johnson & Johnson and others with integrating Lean Innovation into on-going Lean, Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement initiatives.

Huthwaite will be available to work with Chinese R&D centers during his visit. Contact John Keogh at john@innovationcube.com or (312)213-2017 to learn more.
