Real estate marketing specialist and postcard industry veteran Brandon Cornett has written a book to help real estate agents promote themselves through postcard marketing.

Real estate postcard marketing has been around for decades. Most homeowners are familiar with the postcards used by local real estate agents to announce their home listings, sales, open houses and other real estate-related events.

But author Brandon Cornett thinks real estate agents can do a better job with their postcard marketing efforts. Having worked for two postcard marketing companies, Cornett has seen plenty of real estate postcards:

"I worked as a marketing writer for one of the largest postcard marketing companies in the country," said Cornett. "Their customer base was about 70% real estate when I was there. When you add it all up, I've probably seen more real estate postcards than any one person should be exposed to."

A long-time writer and marketer, Cornett quickly saw the need for an instructional guide to help real estate agents improve their postcard strategies.

"Some of the real estate postcards we mailed out seemed pointless to me. Many of the fundamentals of marketing were missing entirely. Some of them had no call to action, for instance, or maybe they lacked any form of incentive or offer. It was frustrating to sit by and watch, but it was happening on such a large scale that I couldn't do much about it at the time."

Cornett said his book will help agents improve their real estate postcards by incorporating proven marketing strategies -- strategies the author has seen succeed firsthand. Cornett also added a modern element to the book by showing agents how to integrate their postcard marketing efforts with their real estate websites for maximum lead generation.
