(PRWEB) January 22, 2007 -- CharlotteMusician.com launched Charlotte Indie Radio, an Internet radio station playing Charlotte area original music. The station went live on January 1st of 2007 and can be heard twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week from www.CharlotteMusician.com. Local musicians in all genres are encouraged to submit their original music for airplay. The station will feature Charlotte area music but will also play music from throughout North and South Carolina. The station is hosted by Live365.com. Musicians interested in submitting their material can find out more information at www.charlottemusician.com.
Charlotte Indie Radio is the first local music station in the country to be designed, created, funded, and operated entirely by indie musicians. By combining their resources and abilities, Charlotte area local musicians have created this station to side-step the traditional music industry in an effort to reach fans directly. The group intends to provide a place for local music lovers to hear NC and SC music at any time of the day or night.
For more information or submission guidelines, interested music fans and musicians can visit http://www.charlottemusician.com.
CharlotteMusician.com is run by musicians for musicians. Formed in January 2005 by local musician Brian Hartzog, the group combines the efforts of local musicians, bands, and solo performers to create projects that help improve the local music scene.
