Industry's first document management application is one of five finalist products in the "Best Document Management Solution" software category.

NextPage today announced that NextPage 2 Document Retention has been selected as a finalist in the "Best Document Management Solution" software category for the Software & Information Industry Association's 22nd Annual CODiE Awards. NextPage 2 Document Retention was chosen from over 1,000 nominations submitted this year.

NextPage 2 Document Retention is an innovative business solution designed to help companies reduce the risk of managing documents on the desktop. NextPage's document retention tool is the only application that securely tracks document versions across e-mail, hard drives, removable media and servers, providing an audit trail to users about all document versions so they can purge working copies and post final versions to a central server for archival and lifecycle management.

The CODiE Awards is the only peer-recognition awards program of its kind in the industry. Its vision is to showcase the software and information industry's finest products and services and to celebrate outstanding corporate success. SIIA members will cast their votes in the second round of voting in February and the winners will be announced at the CODiE Awards Gala on April 17, 2007.

"The 2007 CODiE Finalists represent real winners, even at this stage of the contest," said Ken Wasch, SIIA President. "Competition is fiercer than ever and that makes selection as a CODiE Finalist a major achievement. All the companies on this year's list should feel justifiably proud of their recognition."

"It is an honor to be selected as a 2007 CODiE Finalist," said Darren Lee, President and CEO of NextPage. "Being recognized by our peers is testament to the product and business problem we solve."
