RezOvation Launches Major Upgrades to its Desktop Product and Has Record Fourth Quarter

RezOvation, the leader in property management and website booking engine software announced a major product upgrade and the addition of more than 100 new clients in the fourth quarter of 2006. RezOvation, the leader in property management and website booking engine software announced a major product upgrade and the addition of more than 100 new clients in the fourth quarter of 2006.

Both Guest Tracker and RezOvation Desktop users have a lot to cheer about in the New Year. RezOvation launched its GT product last summer much to the delight of Munsenware Guest Tracker users, and today announced the release of RezOvation Desktop 7.0. These products fulfill over a year of development with the release of updated connectivity software including new versions 4.0 of the RezOvation Booking Engine, GDS Connect and Credit Card Connect.

During the past year, RezOvation has upgraded every aspect of its software - both of the PMS products, the new Booking Engine 4.0, the new GDS Connect 4.0, and the new Credit Card Connect 4.0.

"We've added countless features, dramatically increased performance and reliability, and rewritten major connectivity interfaces to insure our customers have the best products in the industry," said John Banczak, chief operating officer. "In addition, new management was brought in to improve product quality and customer service, and the results have been outstanding."

The customer service team was increased to five full-time tech reps, a new state-of-the-art internal phone system was installed - virtually eliminating hold times for priority customers - and the Salesforce.com CRM was put into place to make sure customers get fast and thorough service. RezOvation Desktop users will benefit from a greatly improved lodging credit card gateway, enhanced search options on the select name screen, ability to add rooms to open invoices, and an upgraded link to Webervations. Users will also benefit from blazing speed, security, reliability, and our new low prices.

Banczak says that RezOvation Desktop has been re-engineered so that the Booking Engine is three to 10 times faster than RezOvation's closest competitor; it's the only HackerSafe® product on the market; it offers a true two-way GDS link for rates, inventory, and automatic customer data entry; and the credit card gateway has been rebuilt for additional lodging functionality. At the same time, RezOvation has lowered its pricing, making the upfront cost about half that of its closest competitors.

"Many properties have saved more than $10,000 annually with the new pricing," Banczak said, "and a handful of properties have saved upward of $15,000. With superior products and pricing, it's no wonder that so many properties signed with us during the past few months."

RezOvation president Eric Goldreyer said that with all the improvements to the technology and first-rate service in the support department, RezOvation can offer a much better value to customers. "Properties don't need to sacrifice on the quality of their PMS, or pay the exorbitant fees other companies charge - and innkeepers are recognizing it in very high numbers," Goldreyer said.

Banczak said that RezOvation's straightforward formula is fundamentally different than that of the old management team: "We make promises we can keep, we deliver stable technology, and we don't charge an arm and a leg for it," he said. "We replaced the old tech department with top-notch programmers, we added quality assurance testing resources, and the support department is bigger and better trained than ever. The product has never been better and customers have never been happier."
