The law firm of Brayton Purcell is a sponsor of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. luncheon presented by the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights of the San Francisco Bay Area, a network of attorneys, law firms and volunteers that work for justice in the areas of race, poverty and immigration.
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) January 31, 2007 -- The law firm of Brayton Purcell is a sponsor of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. luncheon presented by the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights of the San Francisco Bay Area, a network of attorneys, law firms and volunteers that work for justice in the areas of race, poverty and immigration. The Committee provides free legal assistance to individuals and also takes on policy impact cases that focus on major civil rights issues.
The luncheon will take place on February 12, 2007, at the Westin St. Francis Hotel on 335 Powell Street in San Francisco. The event raises money for the work of the Committee and also honors legal professionals who freely give their time and energy to help others.
The keynote speaker is Van Jones, founder and National Executive Director of the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights and Bay Area Police Watch.
