How Batch Management Systems Play a Critical Role in Regulatory Compliant Solutions
Foxboro, MA (PRWEB) January 25, 2007
Invensys Process Systems will demonstrate enterprise control, instrumentation, and batch and production management solutions for the pharmaceutical and biotech industries at Booth #617 at the 2007 Interphex Conference and Expo in San Juan, Puerto Rico this February 1st and 2nd. At the booth, Invensys will be demonstrating its recently introduced InFusion enterprise control system along with advances in production management, batch process control, instrumentation, and validation. Invensys life sciences specialist Daren Moffatt will also present on using InFusion's integrated batch software for regulatory compliance.
"There is ever-increasing market pressure for pharmaceutical and biotech companies to find new ways to improve production efficiencies and compliance plant-wide without adding costs," said Janice Abel, an Invensys pharmaceuticals industry consultant. "The InFusion system provides them a truly revolutionary solution by enabling practical integration of the plant floor, supply chain, and business systems for strategic enterprise visibility. InFusion will change the way pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies operate in the future."
Released in April of last year, InFusion provides real-time plant-wide information integration, enabling improved productivity, asset optimization, cost reduction, and operational excellence. InFusion simplifies integration of control, safety, simulation, and asset management solutions from across Invensys, with legacy and third party solutions from disparate automation and business systems.
Also in the exhibit area, the Foxboro Measurements and Instruments division will be showing the Foxboro 84 Series Vortex meter for sanitary environments, which offers reliable, and flexible flow measurement in demanding pharmaceutical and biotech production environments, and the Foxboro FT10 conductivity sensor for high-purity water and harsh chemical surroundings, along with other advances in pharmaceutical and biotechnical measurement and control.
Daren Moffatt's presentation, "How Batch Management Systems Play a Critical Role in Regulatory Compliant Solutions," will take place on Thursday, February 1st at 9am. Moffatt will explore the key role that batch management can play in integrating information enterprise-wide, enabling improved security, productivity, and day-to-day operational demands. He will demonstrate how batch management can optimize regulatory compliant pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities using templates and standards. Moffatt has more than 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries, particularly with a focus on batch management and process improvement.
The 2007 Annual Interphex Conference and Expo will take place February 1-2, 2007 in San Juan, Puerto Rico, to unite industry leaders, manufacturers, and engineers to hear the latest on innovation and technology for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.
