New White Paper Makes the Case for Vietnam as Software Outsourcing Destination

Company Offers a Framework for Evaluating Any Country for Offshore Software Development and Testing, and Evaluates Vietnam Against That Framework, Offering Specific Examples of Vietnam's Attractiveness as an Outsourcing Destination.

Foster City, CA (PRWEB) January 30, 2007 -- A landmark white paper evaluating Vietnam as an outsourcing destination for software development and testing was published today by LogiGear(R) Corporation, a leader in advanced software test automation and global software testing solutions.

The white paper, titled "The Business Case for Outsourcing Software Testing to Vietnam", outlines a framework that software development and testing organizations can use to evaluate whether a potential outsourcing destination can meet critical software testing needs. The country of Vietnam is then evaluated against that framework, which considers each of these key criteria:

  • Labor cost
  • Workforce suitability
  • Political, economic, ethnic, and religious stability
  • Business and intellectual property policies
  • Facility with the English language

LogiGear has extensive experience in Vietnam, and since 2005 has operated the first and only US-led software test and research center in that country. Offering specific examples, the white paper demonstrates why Vietnam ranks favorably in each of these areas and makes the case that this Asian country is a logical choice when it comes to outsourcing for software testing services.

LogiGear's Director of Engineering Services, Salvador Sandoval, is quick to point out that the company's success is in Vietnam is not based solely on lower labor costs. "The combination of a highly proficient - not just inexpensive - labor force, together with LogiGear's advanced training, methodology and tools, are what allow us to consistently create and run more tests, provide better test coverage, and save our customers both time and money."

Leveraging LogiGear's unique position in low-cost offshore outsourcing and advanced test automation expertise, the company delivers on the vision outlined in the latest book coauthored by LogiGear CEO Hung Q. Nguyen, Global Software Test Automation: A Discussion of Software Testing for Executives.
